Projected BEV breakeven year
Challenge
Transition the portfolio from 90% ICE vehicles to 60% battery-electric by 2030 while preserving profit and reskilling more than 80,000 workers.
Approach
We developed a phased EV transition strategy covering platform consolidation, battery sourcing partnerships, and manufacturing footprint optimization. We modeled over 200 scenarios to determine optimal capital allocation across ICE wind-down and EV ramp-up, and designed a comprehensive workforce reskilling program spanning 14 production facilities.
Impact
The client approved a €25 billion investment plan with a clear path to BEV profitability by 2027. Workforce reskilling began across all targeted plants, and three new gigafactory partnerships were signed within six months.
